A World of Sound
The SLP studio has been built to the highest standards using modern sound deadening construction and concepts. It is a three room studio with double walls all around and solid core double doors. Each room can be completely isolated for recording and independent operation purposes.
The Blue Room houses a Neve 8108 mixing console with 48 channels of motorized faders. It feeds a 24 track 2” Sony tape machine with Dolby SR. A plethora of outboard gear is available, including hardware synthesizers, compressors, limiters, effects and reverbs. A ProTools HD system rounds out the room.
The Green Room is used mainly as an editorial and mixdown suite, centered around a souped-up ProTools HD system. It is capable of handling over 80 tracks at 24-bit 96 KHz through Firewire.
7070A subwoofer provide 5.1 surround sound in both rooms. This provides a consistent listening environment, and allows seamless transitions between rooms.
The Booth is a medium-sized vocal and tracking room linked directly to the Neve console. A large double-paned, double walled window allows the talent to see and communicate with the mixer and producer. A wide selection of microphones are available for all eventualities.
A mobile ProTools HD system is available for remote projects. It is a custom-built system with capability for 32 channels of analog and digital input or output. This rig is ready to handle just about anything, whether it be recording, mixdown, dubbing or editorial assignments.
